Yo, Socrates, level restrictions already keep n00bz from having the truly good gear, and I don't think anyone's buying the "badge of honor" argument - see Iris' post above.

By extension, this probably makes the Planar Turning feat worthless as well. Of course, you'd have to cripple your toon to get the CHA 25 and WIS 25 requirements for that feat, anyhow, so it's not a great loss.

Okay, from what I can tell, the Destruction domain is a wash. I levelled up a cleric toon to 11 and took it to the Isle of Dreams.
