Harper scout still sucks. It's great for RP and if you want to weaken your build for the sake of RP go for it! Never had a weak build in my life, Jester. If we're both about 15th level, we can dual if you like. At that time, it'll be a Paladin 5/Fighter 5/HS 5. We can see if my build is significant...

Just make sure your barb is LN, TN or CN, that way the level 1 spell Protection From Alignment will not make people immune to the fear. Barbs can't be LN. They can be LN, however as long as they are they can't advance anymore levels as a barbarian. Since there is no way in NS_4 to change alignment ...

my advise is not to take more than 0 levels of harper scout, ever. In a low-magic item server like NS_4, Harper Scout is a remarkable asset for a Sorcerer, Bard, Paladin or Cleric. Check out this thread on the Bioware Forums: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=346373&forum=77&highli...

Question for Devs on Harper Scout
Guys, with all the changes in crafting skills/feats that have been made, does the 5th level Harper Scout Potion crafting ability still work? If not, could we have something to substitute for it?

Yeah I've never made a sorc in any D&D game, my mages have always been wizards, they're so much better. They get all that stuff you guys mentioned (yeah 1 bonus feat every two levels like a fighter) AND they can learn any spell they can get their hands on a scroll for }: ) (corrected) Actually, it'...

While the feat may be a bit overpowered, let's be realistic about it. Here's what you have to pay for one level of Shadowdancer: 23!!! skill ranks 2 Feats +1 BAB Min DEX 13 Give up the ability to take any other Prestige Class This seems like an investment that could be considered reasonable for what...

i'm not sure you guys realize it, but at least for me, i die at least once every hour MINIMUM with my lvl 13 mage, why? KD is the prime reason (who gave NPCs KD :PP), also lack of spells hurts in dungeons (There's "enemies nearby' EVERYWHERE) and the fact that my fireballs do more damage to my summ...

My level 12 WM scyther soloed 6 cr 17 giants at one time, without any problems. Apparently you don't know how to build a fighter if you can't hurt them, die a lot, or have issues. Believe me, I'm new to playing a fighter, but for the sake of the beta I'm playing one, and they are just as easy, if n...

Re: clarification on terrifying rage?
Hope it's ok to ask this sort of question here; it's not specifically about NS4. The description for terrifying rage (in the HotU manual) says this: While the barbarian is raging, any enemy that comes close to him must make a Will save opposed by the barbarian's Intimidate check. If the enemy fails...

You see this is where the real problem lies. NWN is not PnP DnD, it is merely a computer game based on DnD. In NWN bioware has made it clear that the individual is more important then a party. Why do you think the original campaign only allowed you to just have a henchman? Why not a whole party? Wh...

I must be the only one who played the single player game, who played alot of real D&D, who has played other fantasy games... or maybe Neversummer exists in a different reality than I do, I don't know... but why do I continue to argue common sense to those who don't get it... nevermind believe what ...

All I can say is the Dev;s are really overlooking one big thing in their new philosophy... Some classes, mainly fighters and barbarians, still depend on having the right gear available to them, and, even in the original single player game, have to have certain equipment advantages to keep their cha...
