Yes, my best suggestion is to make tons of friends who play often. That, or have a friend who is apart of a much larger guild filled with 20+ characters .

I usually give mine away to party members. It would suck to die and be the only person capable of giving rez's .

To answer the thread poster's question, it is not a bug. I believe it was the choice of the game designers to remove the extra damage from enhancement. However, seeing the damage is a bug, perhaps there is extra damage on the weapon that you didn't see at first?

I believe that you still lose xp for deaths by summons .
