If having large stat stacks is the reason for not putting stat mods on all items why not make a certain stack range instead of an infinite amount?

Edit: Isn't the range -10 to +10 anyways?

That is extremely agitating. I had many critical failures earlier where I ended up killing the animal and figured it was okay since there were no visilbe repercussions. Can't say I want to play my druid anymore.
