As I fight my way through the hoards of monsters and evild doers, hacking slashing my way to victory I am often reminded of just how little they drop. You have to kill the BOSS to get the goodie (notice the singular on there) which means only one person gets the good loot. Otherwise there is not much reason to loot anything.

I would like to sugguest that more useful, but expendable items drop off of these lvl 40 zones. Holy Handgernades comes to mind, Decent Arrows, Bullets, Bolts, DARTS (can get good darts on NS). Rare spell drops that vendors do not sell like TIME STOP for the rouge in us all...

All I am sugguesting is that you throw a few more goodies out there for the support crew that's helping others get their NS gear, or running them through the Demon Web Pit.

SO...you want to go kill exhaulted and get some darts? If you look around the server, every place that there are non-boss drops (Menzo, Dorfs) 99% of the stuff is simply sold off.

I think the idea is as follows:

Demon X sets up a lair. He gets a bunch of his 'friends' to help defend it, but doesn't have an American Express Black card, so he can't equip them all up with good stuff. So only he, and occasionally one of them (in the case of Arigon's Archers or some other baddies dropping a piece of NS ware) saved up enough snapple caps to get themselves a Dirk to drop, but they wouldn't all have one.

The best loot should come from bosses. If a level 1 kobold dropped an Amulet of Dimensions, why would you even bother to risk 10% of your gold to go to Crystal Palace?

That maybe, and I am not sure my point came across. I am not saying have NS gear drop off any and every monster. What I am asking is decent expendable stuff like darts, arrows, rare spells, wands, holy hand gernades, would drop and make it somewhat worth while to support crew that is helping you.

Darts: Noone would use them and you can't sell them.

Arrows: There are already several different powerful arrows that can be gotten (NS, Ellard, Triton, G1) and can't sell them either.

Wands: Not very effective. Wands cast at the level required to cast the spell. Say you have a Ice Storm wand. It casts at level 7. You aren't going to get through many things SR at level 7 caster.

Holy Hand Grenades: Just silly.

The reason most people go on DWP runs is to A) Get either armor or helm for themselves or B) Get armor or helm for someone who helped them get their armor or helm before. Why should there be any other silly bonus?

Darts: Noone would use them

Why not? Darts aren't that bad, since you can use shield while using dart

If we are going by what most poeople use on NS then the add new zones at the lower levels was a waste, most people don't even go there unless for a quest. Most People do smut goblins, dwarves, darkelfs pre Nexus, then after that if they darken the lower realms it's for a quest or to help a friend. Most don't even know the Gnolls exsist.

As for not being able to sell'em well that is another issuse that would solve alot of problems. If some of the higher level drops could be sold for a reasonable price, I think less of them would trikle down to the lowbies...

So back to my Idea ----> It would be nice if more gold, and other expendable things dropped from mobs. Rather or not people would use them that depends on the quaility of them, which is out of my control as the ideal maker.

Ok, It's obevious to me that it is pointless to post on the idea board, being my first and only post has been blaskored out of the water. Whatever, it was just a thought a silly one at that. I guess that what I get for being an ex-eqer.

I'll leave the ideas to the ones in the know.

Well that is easy. The post in which my idea was blaskored out of the water, it lefted me with a feeling of dispointment and charon!

Prehaps, not a verb, but well you take what you can get...

I always use a lougha on my charon in the shower when I'm blaskored.

The other thing about dwp mobs is that most parties who go down tend to run past things in dwp instead of killing them, and it isn't that there are no drops, the drops are just rare, the arcane caftan drops there, also a couple of very nice other items that drop nowhere else in ns, but most people don't take the time to explore everywhere and find the hidden door or any of the other things that can be found in dwp because they won't go exploring or take the time to kill everything for that extra rare loot drop that is worth your time

Of course they run by them nothing drops worth while. In all higher level zones your best bet is to just run cause there is nothing worth your while...exactly my point.
