I would suggest a natural parrying weapon, like a rapier, dagger or short sword, with a +10 or +15 or +20 with the triton strengths. Could even be a quest item instead of a triton.
Just a thought.
Thanks for your time.

I guess I better question to ask would be, does it work?puke_dud wrote:It has certainly never worked for me.
DrakhanValane wrote:It only works if your AC is lower than your Parry skill, and, as mentioned before, only works on the first attack of any "sub round." Attacks are grouped into 3 2-second long groups. So parry is generally useless.
Watch your guy when you're attacking sometime, you'll notice that the blows within a round get grouped together. So you'll swing a couple times, pause, swing a couple times, pause, etc... That's what meant by a "sub round".Rocco wrote:How does the attack round work? I don't get the 3 two second round deal.

I won't be able to get epic dodge on this guy, but I have thought of that.disastro wrote:I could see applications for an epic dodge/parry tank. even if it only works on the first attack in each sub-round that's a pretty good deal if you can jack your parry into the heavens, and still get an epic dodge in if the parry fails.
if you manage to parry the first attack and epic dodge the second you're matching your +10 to ac right there from expertise, and you might still parry 2 more attacks. not a bad concept to nullify more incoming attacks.
also it's easier to see the subrounds with a ranged weapon.
So, if a PC has 5 attacks in a round, how does that get broken down into sub rounds? Using the example of G1 above, if I am parrying G1, how many attacks are getting broken down into each sub-round?DM Xero wrote:Watch your guy when you're attacking sometime, you'll notice that the blows within a round get grouped together.
