Epic bards should have epic spells.

They don't. Used to be, you wanted your bard to have epic spells you mixed 16 levels of Pale Master. Voilá! Epic spells, plus a nice bonus to AC. 20bard/4barbarian/16 palemaster, lasting inpiration, epic mage armor, epic warding, much butt is kicked. You get the idea.

Obviously you cant do that on NS because of the restrictions. I guess you could do 14 bard/10 wiz/ 16 pm. but then he's not really that bardy (is that a word?).

It would be nice if Epic Bards could get epic spells. Maybe starting at level 25 or 30 of bard. Don't even know if it's possible with the engine. Just throwing it out there.

Epic Spells require you to have 9th level spells. The Pale Master exception was because Bioware couldn't get the +caster level feature of the Pale Master to work right. So no, Bards should never get Epic Spells.

Bards are plenty uber as-is. Giving a bard epic mage armor or epic warding would be way overpowered.

indeed a bard well made can get 70 ab and 103 or 104 ac depends... so with epic spells huhu would be very strong...

..if you consider epic spells..well...epic

have you seen the damage of a hellball?! or a greater ruin?!


and the epic mage armor adds AC i have to agree with you there, no matter what your AC is you will still get hit. better to be able to resist those hits rather then try and get away from them if you ask me

hellball is 500ish pure sonic and GR is 400ish (?) pure positive energy.. so none of them is worth taking imo..

You can get comparable damage with neg energy burst(maximized)

I kill things all the time with my epics...granted, I rarely use them in PvE, but I play on MW so they have a different use there...
