Clang's challenge

Unlike most players and DM's my login time usually comes in short spans sprinled during the day. There are rarely long runs.

So leveling is a challenge.

As a test of the mod, and to get a better understanding of the lower end. I am wiping my vault clean. And starting over (No big loss trust me).

Now I am leaving it up to the north server what my first char will be. The only stipulation is that given decent(not max) gear the build must be able to survive solo thru most of the mod, certain bosses and epic areas excluded. Meaning I will not make a Harper Scout, or some silly mix that would serve little to help out others once 40th.

This toon will be available to the general North public once he/she reaches 35th. For the purposes of helping on runs or item gathering, played by me of course.

Here is what I need from my posters;
#1 edited to be a polling question
1) General build type (I will determine exact build)
tank, mage, AA, etc.

2) Race (must match build no halfling DDs, or half orc mages)

3) Gender (I can play both ways in game, unlike in real life)

4) Name (To be the first part of the name ________ of the North)

5) Custom Portrait (to be made available to general public)

Once there are enough submissions I will put up a poll. TO vote on various aspects of the toon.

NOTE: this toon will accept no hand-outs, and never be carrying or using gear he/she did not gather personally.

There will be a thread posted to track the toons progress to include reports by other DMs as to the validity of the gear issue(spot checking it).

The cookie-cutter Sorc/Pally/Monk builds are incredibly easy to level to 40 from scratch.

Personally the last class I'd pick for the purpose of what Clang wants would be a mage. If you want to help out on runs etc your best bet by far is a DD of somekind. I've voted for a dex one but I know my str one on MW has done countless runs without taking much damage (I haven't tested the dex one properly yet but imagine him to be similar, bonus is he'll get hit less often). Having a great tank among a party will get you through virtually all areas.

Going to make the tank aaron mentioned and my second toon will be chosen by you folks, and yes phant ill go Dwarf at least.
