One or more of my level 40 chars vanished from my vault

Oh boy,
One of my favorite level 40s (and I think possible a few more) are gone from my vault. I am wondering if there are any backups and if so, would a DM be willing to see what happened to him?
Unfortunately, I do not precisely remember his name.
I *think" it was Aaron Diode or Amos Diode. Might have been a different first name but definitely last name of "Diode" (all my elves are named Diode).
In any event, my log in name is PLee_NWN and the character was a level 40 Barbarian/Bard/Arcane Archer. I loved this char and it is a real pain to rebuild him as he suffers LOTS of xp penalties (elf with three classes, none of which are favored).
I last played this character several weeks ago (maybe a month or two?) and yesterday when I logged in he was gone.
Any help possible here? It would make a nice Christmas present to a player who has immensely enjoyed and appreciated your work on this server.
Thanks for anything you are able to do.
