remember, as the server nears capacity (yes the cap is 64, but 50 is strenuous) try to limit your dual logging for the benefit of others on this server. If there isn't another person actually on your other char playing please don't multi-box as the server fills. If you test me on this i'll lock down your accounts for a day or two so you can't anyway.

AND you just realized this after MD abused this and it still happens? I was sort of punished for this for being there? Good rule now when you can ENFORCE it sort of.

Most Dual loggers also are very good at following in game instructions from in-game DM's and the solo players never have a problem logging off one of their characters as requested.

I think its pretty funny that the only way a guild can get numbers is by having a couple people log on their many dual triple logins and boom ... instant guild, now they go raid. Its very obvious when they raid what character does not have a human behind the keyboard the whole time. And to think that they can say Good fights because three or four people got 8 or more toons online and raided. What a joke.
But seriously. The dual logging in my opinion is becoming overly abused and a common topic of interest on shout when venge logging comes into question or the "protection" of a leveling character is being "protected". How many pages of topics can be found on this very issue? Shouldn't there be one final solution and say thats that and be done with it. I think some concrete rules should be inplace for the betterment of whiners, and abusers, and those that just want to see it finally dealt with.

Example: Your in a party having fun, you come across another party and attack them (IS A PVP SERVER) then out of the blue 2-3 lvl 40 toons come and wipe you out. You know that the 40's are the same logins as the guy in the lower lvl party you just killed ( DONT BE STUPID AND ASK HOW ARE YOU SURE ITS THE SAME PERSON ).
So it must now be ok for someone that cant dual/triple log to log off and come back with there 40 and wipe the other 40's seems fair dont you think ??????????

I'd just like to see a clearly stated and understandable 'rule' about multi-logging and raiding. In the recent thread, I specifically remember outlining the logic behind dual logging... you can only raid with one toon, and can LOGON to defend with any that you like. Once you choose to defend with ONE then you need to LOGOUT the others. You can't raid with one log and defend with another simultaneously. You can't raid with with 2 dual logged toons because you are now 'switching toons' in the middle of a raid. Does anyone remember this?

Yet last night I saw a bard standing afk in our cradle, next to a scyther afk, next to a spotter/sneak who ran around. Curse once and then let the bard die. When someone is stunned, hide the hipser and grab the scyther to finish people off. It's really obvious when you run to the back of your cradle room to see 3 toons standing there afk while 3 others fight at the front of the cradle.

I just don't understand why this is allowed when I can't even run to an enemy faction to raid them, switch back to a toon to defend if I need, and then switch back to my raider to finsih my raid. It's just ridiculous, really.

I agree with Bargeld: a definitive ruling needed, the defence/raid senario and the lowbie esscorts. In referance to the later, if someone is multi'boxin to provide themselves or thier party with buffs, that is fine. But if that party is attacked by another lvling party, the mutli should not be able to turn to thier buffer for anything other than to rez the fallen party. Attacking with the buffer should be the same as venge login. Furthermore the buffer should make a brief shout, ie "Non-hostile on rescue duty", to let the PKing party of lvlers know that the buffer is just there to rez and that attacks on the buffer will open the ball for the buffer to defend themselves and pk the attackers.
I think the above rules/conditions would allow those that can multi'box to gain some benifit (including bargelds raid/defence senario-->) "I specifically remember outlining the logic behind dual logging... you can only raid with one toon, and can LOGON to defend with any that you like. Its a small community of players and its obvious when dual loggers are pushing the boundaries (often). DMs/Devs arent around nearly enough to police the exploiting of it.

Last week 2 dmz were playing partied with McNinja. I engaged them crept away without any kills. 5 mins later Judgement shows up and implodes me..... Venge logging. well i thought so although i didn't really want to make a fuss about it. So I told Shamed he venged me and he said no i didn't i asked the DMs i'm partied with if it was alright. !?!?! So i send tells to the dmz playing and they said it wasnt' because i Mcninja didnt die.... Then one them continue to tell me he saw 8 venge logs in the past 1/2 hour !?!?! And he hadnt done anything !?!?! WHAT THE F!!! And then a couple hours after DMz repeatedly vengelogged raiding SL.
I don't care to get anyone banned or disrupt their gameplay in anyway. I'm not going to spend my hours of my time putting together pages of ss's together doing the dm's job for them. And the times i have done this i don't even get replies from the Staff.
No offence to the Staff they do a great job and appreciate their time and participation on this server.

It's obviously getting out of hand. So pretty much i've been told the commandments don't matter anymore. Go crazy kids its Anarchy. Dual log, Venge Log, Battle Log, Meta yer little hearts out. I'm sure it will be real fun for everyone..........

I'm pretty sure as soon as i break down and start weak a** dual logging on NS4 they'll do something about it.

I never accuse anyone of cheating. I am not in a position to do so. The Administration is. I've played here long enough to understand, that no amount of complaining or whining gets anything done. That and people are going to believe and see what they want. I find it hard for anyone to even consider the notion that the Staff is somehow biased towards my brother and I.

We don't get any special treatment. We play NS4 because we like PvP. Some of you run around like it's some personal vendetta. I think it's childish. I think it's asinine. I think it's trivial. I enjoy this game and I enjoy the company of the vast majority of the people who play it.

But when you spout off about farceful accusations that the whole of AO and RK now owes their success to an army of people with multiple computers, all I can do is laugh. Laugh and laugh. And the DMs know why. This army, is my brother.

So yeah. I in no way want to subject you all to discomfort. So if clarifying the rules is what you want, I agree entirely. But I won't just stand idly by as you lower obtuse charges in the general direction of two entire factions. Or furthermore, to go on to say that the Staff is somehow overlooking policing anyone intentionally.

Relics last Fri or Sat: you killed my hogre raider in Menzo (with cheese!), then Tep hauled the relic back to LA (more cheese). You guys showed up to take it back, I logged in my wiz (who was unfortunately in Avendell, but hogre so we can deal with small inconveniences like that). So I leg it back to NS, saw you outside, but killing you there would have been venge logging, also further engagement after whoever was still alive out of y'all made it out of NS (I hadn't cast much, plenty of doom spells left). Only regret was killing your bard with IGMS instead of PWK, style counts! Also, so far as I recall you guys had been defending Menzo for long enough to raid with whatever chars you wanted.

In conclusion, nobody is allowed to say Assassins are weak anymore.

Don't want to talk about the scuffle in the respawn point. Tep needs to learn how to get a dragon through a normal doorway.
