i'm sorry

Post by Katerin Keresaspa bro. »

usually, when i wake up from a rest, i need to do about 15 spells and the 3rd or 4th one is a summon (my little pet comes to me with a little spell like summons VIII, :D ).
the problem is: some lesser character want's to be heroes and they try to hit my pet. i do some spells to increase my pet stats and he kills the "heroes". (u must know what u r killing)
and i want to rez them cos one day i was a little character, but they inmediately respawn.
I don't want to kill characters. It's like the nebbies when they r close to my area spells.
Just wait, i have rez and raise. And don't try to kill my summons, they r stronger than me,

If your summons attacks and accidentally kills them, by all means rez. If they attack you or your summons, leave their corpse to rot. They will have time to think about how stupid they were on the long walk back to where you killed them.

Having not experienced a rez myself, do you get dinged xp for being rez'd or raised?

I usually suck it up and immediately respawn myself unless I'm in a party and I figure I might be able to stop the bleeding on my own.

Good. That makes me feel a little better about my aggressive summons this morning. I walked through an area transition and there was someone from another faction on the other side who I knew was not going to agro me (I'd met her in another nearby area earlier, and she was hunting with an allie (sp?).) I meant to tell my summon to stand his ground because she was so close, but I accidently told it to guard me (radial menu slippage  ... must learn key sequences for summons orders instead of using that radial) Anyway, long story-short, she didn't last. I got rid of the summon and raised her. If she didn't get zapped for xp there's no harm at all in it except for the few minutes required to get her back on her feet and healed up.

You can hot-key an order secquenc too. Right click on an empty hot-key slot and select your order from the radial pop-up.

All of my player chars who use summons or pets have "follow me" and "stand your ground" as hotkeys.

I believe that you still lose xp for deaths by summons .
