I don't see anyone soloing any of the boss-areas as of now. From what I've seen, a balanced party is the best thing around.
i'm pretty sure 100% of it is soloable.

party play is a whole different ball game than solo play. yes, there are some parties in ns3 but on the whole the game is geared more towards soloing. having a party means you always have someone there to back you up, when you are in way over your heads at least its heads and not just one head, and you have constant companions to make your long journeys a little less tedious. and being in a party means you don't have to work quite so hard on making your character a jack-of-all-trades who can do everything, but nothing all that well. You can afford to experiment and be useful in a few key areas and know that the all around party will balance out to an effective fighting force.

Exactly my point :)

While I definitely prefer to be able to solo if I want to, eventually everyone runs into something that they can't handle by themselves. A low level mage or rogue can't generally solo like a fighter or cleric of equal level, but put 'em all together and you should be able to handle just about anything. And if they're all roughly the same level, in NS4 you'll only be getting about 1/3 less XP than you'd be getting solo, and probably have a much easier time of it. Not to mention being able to take on tougher challenges that none of them could handle alone...

i'm not so sure about that... a rogue woudl have an easier time of sneaking through a cavern slowly picking off single monsters alone than a tank trying to take all fo them at once, not to mention a rogue would be safer.

a mage can call forth summons and a familiar to help him, and these summons will count as party members...

tanks are basically just better mage summons

Alright, i'll be the guy that's not nice, but ...

-Restrictions on how you can multiclass
-Restrictions on alignements switching
-Crafting

That leads me to think NS4 is a (enforced ?) RP world, not an action world. Am I wrong ?
A paladin needs Charisma, Strengh, Wisdom, Constitution, and a bit of Dexterity. That does not leave much for Intelligence...

I'm sorry about my bad english, i'm french.

It's an action world. Crafting is optional in NS4. You *don't* have to spend time crafting items (but it's sure helpful when the gold is low). In addtion, rp is a state of mind. It is possible to rp w/o all the thees and thous (as was previously mentioned).

All in all, the main goal is to have fun! (be it a PG or RP mentality)

Classes, alignements, even gods and domains are enforced, not suggested. To me, it looks more like a RP world.
