Apology

I made a comment that was not meant for shout and I do appologize for the profanity. Those that know me know that I am not one for swearing in most cases especially on a public channel. I have seen many a shout not meant for that channel go unpunished so I hope the Devs can see through this mistake and forgive me for the uncalled for incident.

I'd just like to say that I'd forgive and forget this incident. Though the obvious provokation is no excuse, it was clearly an accident to be put on shout. I'm sure that this is not likely to ever happen again.
I've often partied with MLoki and it has always bettered my play experience. It'd be a shame to see him go and I hope the Devs/DMs will be lenient in any punishment given him.

yeah, i've had my share of thought i was in party chat and ended up shouting something very very bad. good thing no DM's were on to ban me for that....i did apologize to everyone on the server though.

i'm such a bad guy.

Fatzo why are all of your beligerent spams of burpage and fartage even necessary? You are the biggest case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The simple solution is to not use profanity at all (in life in the best scenario) or when logged in to NS4. That way you can never slip. At one time in my life, I used profane language a lot. But all it really does is provide an outlet for negative emotions; it has no inherent value. Learn to use substitute phrases to vent frustration, etc. I get odd looks on the basketball court when I shout out "sugar" from time to time. But I feel good that I'm no longer calling fellow human beings "mf" and worse.

if it was a slip then it shouldn't be a great deal. accidents do happen.

fatzo..don't even get me started on post counts. how many of your are just banter spam and how many are usefull?

looking at post counts it seems that you have more than fatzo, and we all know how much he spams so what does that say about you?

on a side note: loki i dont think it will be a big deal m8, stuff happens, but the use of bad language could offend your party aswell as people on shout. i am with the no cusser up there not a big need for it.

Well even though you all agree that Loki doesn't do this on a regular basis and that it happens to everyone once in awhile...apparently the powers that BE believe Loki has a "History" of some sort and have given him a ban. Even after numerous appologies in forums, ingame and in IRC. I expect the next one who says anything that can be construed as offensive to get the same treatment... Which means..based on his scenario, there should be several bans in the next day or so.

Yes you can expect revenge logging and swearing on the shout channel to be handled in the same way for any player.

MLoki's 'history' as you put it and his apology actually helped him here. A 24 hour holiday is nothing for this. Players with poor attitudes and historys have been given a perma-vacation for similar in the past.
