I have to admit, Eb. I do like the idea of invading 3 Towns. They're really the only other heavily populated servers out there.

The trash-talking and spamming would be..eh...I can get all I want of that on Prime.

We ought to learn the rules, then utterly dominate them within those rules.
All tagged as {NS4}, all for the greater glory of The Big Dog!

Now I have to go research them and come up with a strategy....mua ha ha... :D

...or we could always invade *snicker* Antioch...

Along the lines of getting fresh meat to Aetheria...

I put a portal on the DW Trainer server (public server in the Arena category) that portals people to NS4. Lots of people click on it, but I don't know how many people actually stay in NS4. Last I checked, 188 unique people (logins) had clicked on the NS4 portal since May 16th. There's one guy that frequents the DW Trainer that has played NS4 before, but he says he got bored with NS4, probably because he just couldn't handle the challenge that NS4 presents

to all those who have time to learn a new server, level up, grind for the best gear, and then start dishing out punishment in a quest to bring people to NS4....i support thee.

i am not one of those people though

Knowing those rules would have been fortuitous for me when I created Salien as he was supposed to be a Ftr/CoT/WM. But as I didn't learn about the website or some of your silly silly rules until well past 16th lvl, Sal is utterly useless at PvP. Just a general gripe at myself for not doing homework b4 starting a server, had just taken a two year break and wanted to start up again.

...Just read a little on their forums.

Can you imagine hitting lvl 40 after 3 weeks without a relic bonus? Chances are they wouldn't be able to take the heat here.

I've been tinkering with Gondor vs Mordor Celorn. I think that would be a great spot as long as we dont make ourselves to big of jerks we could draw some fresh meat it is quite well populated.
If it's 'Reflections' couldn't we actually be the Southern Coalition?

I cast a vote for 3 towns.
No real build restrictions and so far I haven't come across very much uber gear, not saying they don't have some just I haven't seen it yet.
Nice part about 3 towns is the ability to port between servers, one is PvP and the other isn't.

I dont know if Bastion's of War servers are still up, but I think that would
be a great place for us try this out.

You build a toon to lvl 28, start with enough gold to buy needed gear
and go straight to pvp. It's very fast paced, and it's all about the build.

Dev Crit feat was active last time I played there, but it's not that big a deal to build around.

I can certainly envision people from NS4 getting some fairly good ownage
there.

mmm BoW....

However I kind of disagree with you a bit minielvis...competition in BoW is rougher than NS4 and if you have at all a weak build...you -will- certainly be farmed for points. I havent been there in awhile, last time i checked there was only 1 server up with a few people on. I never played enough to be one of their legends, but people didnt like me on the other team 8) .

you'll run into a lot of dev crit builds, AAs, monk/SDs, and kobolds. its quite a good PvP server, if its still running, and to have an ingame Guild that kicks arse would certainly bring light upon NS4. its not all that hard to level, especially if your teammates aren't retarded...can do 28-40 in a week, but after 40 there is still a lot of xp/gp to be gained to buy the best equipment, as it does matter.

anywho...its very very balanced for PvP. you can make your bard/RDD/PM or whatever...but you will see consequences. basically, the cheesier the build, the more penalties.

As soon as I hit Lv. 40 here I'll help. Ariston is Lv. 27 now and I work full time, so it might be another month :)

This is the first server I picked, and from what I understand it is quite challenging. I've learned the game much faster in a few weeks of online NS4 than all of my NWN offline playing.

I am just waiting to see where you guys decide to go and what he details involve. Hmmmm... just think of all the PvPers here banning together as one group with a common goal. I like it!!! So I guess the next question is when and where :?:

Have any of y'all tried LOC (Lengends of Chance)? It was the first server I played on for NWN. LOC is easy to level your toon to 40 and they have "god levels" that you can raise your toon to 60. Also they give many options for customizing your char...
