Teamspeak Server

After leeching off of the hard work of the devs and dms for so many years, I decided to contribute a Teamspeak Server to the community. The server is located in a datacenter in Atlanta, GA with pretty good upstream connectivity. There are channels for each faction and each guild. Guild leaders will be given channel admin privileges over their own respective channels. Once you have channel admin privileges, you can password protect your guild channel, etc.

A couple of the DMs and Devs have already registered themselves on the Teamspeak Server and hang out in the Lobby. So if you've ever wondered what some of them sound like, now is your chance

As with any resource provided on a volunteer basis, please do not abuse it.

Download the client from http://www.goteamspeak.com then connect to games.sleepysheep.org

Detailed Instructions:
The Neversummer TeamSpeak Server isn't in the Web Server List so that we don't have random people using our TeamSpeak Server. You will need to connect manually.

1) Click Connection
2) Click Quick Connect
3) Type games.sleepysheep.org into the Server address field
4) Type your name into the Nickname field
5) Click Connect

Alternatively, you can try clicking on this:
teamspeak://games.sleepysheep.org

If you would like to register your nickname with the server follow the instructions here:

There are also instructions there that tell you how to add a Server to your TeamSpeak Address Book.

Wow, thanks Cely. That was very nice of you to do. That is a great resource for people who are working in a general party outside of their guilds or are guildless as well. Again many thanks.

Hmm... Interesting.

CLAD, I'm gonna create a discussion about this on our private forums, see what our thoughts are about this. I know we've discussed this in the past and admitedly I shot it down, but perhaps this is something we should consider now.

Really cool!! There's such an advantage to having voice communication... easier to organize a raid or defense.

The following devs/dms have server admin perms and can give guild leaders channel admin perms:

All American
Zing
Tep
Chase

All the guild leaders have to do is log in, register themselves with the server (click on Self, then Register with Server) and contact one of the server admins listed above (most are usually watching IRC). Please note that you have to be logged into the teamspeak server in order for a server admin to give you channel admin perms.

Server Admins: Make sure the guild leader is in their guild's channel before giving them channel admin perms. Otherwise you'll be giving them control over the Lobby

What if there is more than one guild leader? Can only one person be the guild admin?

You can have as many channel admins as you'd like. Currently I'm only giving guild leaders (people that have moderator rights on the guild forum) channel admin rights unless requested otherwise.
