Level loss from death - good or bad?

uh, it's EASY to do.

eg. xp in falme. scribe in falme. die in falme. walk from avendale to falme, repeat. yay you got tons more spells. easy as pie.


this can work with other factions' strongholds also.

and it's much faster than getting all the scrolls than thru killing mobs. and you get every spell you want quicker.

and why bother to reach 25? im 20 and bored having raided all the factions.........i just started another new char to compare to my previous.


and i think you meant to compare a wiz to a sorc....since sorc just beats it out of the water heh

I found REALLY EASY to click on an enemy and have my fighter attack that enemy round after round without having to re-click to make him attack every round.

I think we should stop this EASY process and nerf it cause it's EASY. It would be so much more better and realistic to make warriors click on an enemy at the beginning of every round, also it wouldn't be so EASY so that means it's better and stuff.

BTW, what kind of moronic wizard would wait to get all spells through drops from monsters? I'd rather trade scrolls using the scribe scroll option.
Oh wait!!! That's too EASY... I might level in cahoots with another wizard and pick spells at level up that he doesn't, damn that would be EASY!!! We should nerf that because it would be too EASY.

it's an exploit that's insanely easy to do :P

right.

infact, your last statement can be applied to recent spell changes, and the disallowing of dev crit. having things easy doesn't make them challenging. if they're not challenging, they're not fun.

running into a room, and casting wail to see all the top npcs dead is easy. not fun.

dev critting or slaying g1 with a dragonslayer was easy in ns3. not fun.

It all depends on whether you like easy or not, and in what kinds of situations. :wink:
My point was get a better point than saying to nerf something cause it's easy.

nerf what exactly? it's fixing an exploiting in the releveling ability...

this whole nerf nonsense has really started to get out of hand.

the mod is in beta.
the devs are re-writing every spell.
they're tweaking summons, and class abilities.
they're adding job bonuses to balance factions that aren't allowed to have certain class combos.
they're adding new areas and updated eq.

the mod is not done. it's a work in progress.

It's not that important though, eventually wizards are going to have ALL spells anyways, and it's not like this "exploit" is without it's required work of gaining xp.

I just don't think it's that big a deal and doesn't really need to be that high a priority at the moment.

but ofcourse, it's up to the devs, and just let them worry about it and stop playing it off as if changing it is gonna make baby jesus cry? mkay

As I said, this bug was fixed, you only recieve favored class exp once, additional relevel-ups for that level will not get you bonus exp.
