Grease was disabled after entangle, spike growth, and vine mine. Those are still disabled. So grease may be disabled for awhile if it is on the bottom of the to do list.

Casting grease to counter an enemies grease has always been a part of gameplay - something every mage knew and used as a tactic when required. It's not an exploit.
There are other spells that behave in the exact same manner, most are area of effect but some like bigbies effect a single target.

Some epic NPC's were having their combat AI bugged by the grease...

Well.. untill the staff speak to the contrary 
, I like to think they disabled to prevent a few players from continuing to exploit the AI bug, untill the Dynomite Devs can work out the script to make it function properly. The delay in the fix in previously disabled spells, vine mine, entangle, etc, perhaps speaks to the difficulty in this task. Or maybe as a child they visited Stone Henge and were so frighted by the druidic tour guide that thier subconcious has the need to punish our Druids.
PS.. dont expect a head up from the Gods, they work in mysterious ways and are not prone to enlighting us mortals. Besides, one picture of Tep at his computer wearing boxers and a t-shirt saying "Who farted?" could rip the frabric of space and time forever. Not to mention the hours of counciling we would all need.

Grease, entangle, vine mine, and spike growth disable? Grease came back, Wow, the others should be back since most toons have access to a freedom spell. AI's do not have access to freedom spells so disable the best spells a druid has and move on? No wonder I quit playing TC. Hmmmmm.
