actually last time i checked the pm summon was hitting at around 77ab buffed only by the summoner, the sheet is often incorrect, i think it caps around that mark though

Well the sheet doesn't include creature weap attack/enhancement bonus, doesn't respect the cap and doesn't include size adjustments. All the weirdness I can think of in that part of it.

lol i think that if you make a 30 blackguard with a 20 cha modifier and epic necro focus you should get a devil angel as your summon

I fully agree, though I don't think you can get ESF as a 30 non caster.

Blackguards and assassins would be really cool with access to spell lists like the actual PnP classes get. Of course you wouldn't be able to actually add a spell list for them without haks of some sort, but it would be interesting to expand on what has been done for assassin's with their bonus spells by giving them more options and more uses/day, and giving BGs something similar.

iirc there was one which gave 1/2 sneak damage vs sneak immune stuff in the assassin one- cool stuff.

Pretty hardcoded. Might be able to do something with feats, can jack a spellbook for other use, that's it AFAIK.

(Never forget to mention Bio's habit of taking good druid spells and giving them to say cleric or not using tons of great spells on say the bard and pali lists that can be done as written. That's doable with hak.)

Yeah, I wasn't thinking that you could give assasins and BGs brand new spells, just some options from the existing spellbooks. In PnP their spells come straight from the spells in the player's handbook and are not unique to the classes in any way. The unique spells come from outside the core books.

The Blackgaurd and by the time it get's it summons, I would go for Palemaster. Blackgaurd summons is good but you need to many lvls to obtain it and multi-class you personally you would suck unless you have been on this server for awhile. The Blackgaurd and the summons does good with ii and ext haste and pluses. I personnaly skip the summons on a Blackgaurd. Just some info.

Just wondering.. does having death domain affect the Blackguard summon at all? I've also heard that having high charisma is far better than the necro feats for blackguard, is there a cap on cha for how much it helps the BG summon?

Yeah, there is a cap on how much cha will buff the summon.

There is a post on the TCNC forums somewhere documenting how blackguard levels, charisma modifiers, and epic fiendish servant effect the summon, but I can't find it.

It is actually really easy to cap the summon's stats, I remember that I was able to get the highest level BG summon and cap or get very close to capping its abilites with 22 BG levels, the epic fiendish servant feat and a +10 cha modifier, and on a build w/ 26 or more BG I don't think the epic fiendish servant feat even did anything.

Well, if anyone does know the exact numbers on CHA needed I'd appreciate knowing. These three lines in the wiki lead a person to believe that the Death Domain could improve it:

Undead summons receive a stat bonus when cast by a Cleric with the Death Domain Power feat. This does not apply to undead summoned by Pale Master feats.
Undead summons receive an increasing stat bonus when cast by Pale Masters, the following PM levels trigger an increase. 1, 5, 10, 16.
Undead summons receive an increasing stat bonus when cast by Blackguards, the following BG levels trigger an increase. 1, 5, 10.


And hoping someone can confirm if Death Domain would improve the summon even if a BG went to level 30 and had invested in Cha. I'm assuming that the BG summons are both considered undead.. though I could be mistaken(maybe evil domain would affect the black devil? dunno).

Everything in NWN caps sooner or later, ~22 + feat is good, so is ~25 and no feat, from recollection.

The way it works is, if the bonuses from charisma and blackguard levels is higher than it would be from taking the necromancy feats, it uses those instead and ignores the necromancy feats and death domain.
