requesting game play advice

There is not enough slashing resistance on this server!!! It should be increased much more for the following reasons:

1) People like to use slashing weapons.
2) Fighters usually use slashing weapons and we all know that fighters are far too strong and are a pvp menace.
3) Slashing weapons are very imposing and manly and would scare arcane casters if there was no resistance to them.
4) I like to see fighters wielding rapiers because there are no good rapiers on the server.
5) I also like rapiers because I like to see fighters prancing around like pompous 18th century upper class pricks in tights.
6) Fighters are far too scary and I would sleep better at nights knowing that they wont look as scary wielding a rapier or some other pansy weapon whilst wearing tights.
7) When fighting characters take weapon focus/spec and improved critical feats in a slashing weapon they become far too strong. Having them put more feats into other weapon types will help to balance the server.
8) I like seeing half-orcs weilding daggers.

#5 is what I live for, although I like to be that one that is getting looked at for that!
(DV always stares at me when I wear the tights though... :shock: )

@ ran2far: like said before by someone else, cleric is the most fun, u can go eighter on aggressive spells ;if u take air domain(i guess) u get call lightning, that a nice spell, sure more nice maximized . Or u can go like a buffed up fighter trou the realm. Easy to make one (thou a real goodie need some skill).

Lokey: It would be really great if Holy Avenger is improved. I was so sad when I finally got the spell at level 14. Yeah! I was TRULY dissapointed by this as well, seeing as a rampaging mage/SD is nearly unstoppable, a nice 'holy avenger' could really put a damper on their power (well if you can actually land a hit when they're double-hasted). But sadly, there is no h.a. and the 2 dispells can't touch a lvl20+ mage so they aren't very useful.

I would like to see holy sword 'fixed' -- from what I have seen on my paly, it's not even as good as greater magic weapon, only giving +2 to all, or +5 to undead? and an additional 2d6 to undead... that's great and all, but paladins already get bless weapon for dealing with undead, and with 15 levels of paly, GMW gives you +5 to all.

How about +7 to all and 3d6 divine damage to ShadowDancers? :D

But seriously at least +5 to all and some bonus damage.. even 2d6 divine vs. evil and 1d6 vs. neutral? that'd be interesting...or follow the darkfire dmg progression (the more paladin levels you get, the more damage it does).

note: holy sword works on any edged weapon, not just swords.
