Yeah, there's a ton of planar areas, so many that most of the server could run different parts of the planes and never bump into each other. However, I would like to see more interconnection between the planes. Most players right now seem to go for the easier to reach planes (mostly Dwarf Home), while ignoring planes like the Plane of Air that take longer to get to. It's cool to see all the elemental planes up right now, but it would be good to add fututre planes that are connected to at least one other plane than the Nexus.Unless there's a great outcry, I'll probably hold off working on more planes at the moment and work on other projects. As fun as new areas are to do, we're probably good with higher level areas at the moment.

along with the above stated, because some of the plains take so long to get to and take forever to return from, why not have an interplanar inn ( neutral ground.) where toons could sit a spell, rest, talk, sell, trade, buy goods, probably mostly planar items of course. Also maybe to have a bind point there as well. Kinda like a well of the worlds where you pick what well to jump into and BAM!! you in that plain. Just a thought.
Each --- well most
of the factions have their own plane that they can access with ease ( the LA has the fire plane for example, all we have to do is stroll over to our wizards tower and use our faction-only portal to get there ----so ideally each of the factions will have a plane, tho no other planes for the non-plane factionsa are coming to mind -- could make the plane of gas, where massive overweight green dragons walk around and cast lvl 99 poison gas or somthing
---hehe regardless, most of us have our plane we cann "home" and to travel to another plane would be seen as more a privlidge and thus having to require some strenuous excersize (walking many maps).... we dont want to make somthing so glorious taht easily accessable now would we....it would ruin half the fun !

Indeed Fatzo, but Planes still need to be linked. Not to all another though. Like the Plane of Water is linked to the Plane of Air but not to the Plane of Fire. Also some of the outer planes (Limbo, Abyss, etc.) can not be directly reached by the materail plane. Instead, for example, players must travel through the Plane of Earth to its deepest depths to reach the Abyss. Now some of the outer planes aren't linked to the inner planes at all, so some characters must travel through the Astral Plane (the space that seperates all the planes) to reach them. The Astral Plane is extremely dangerous, so most players should be wise enough to try to find a way around using it.

Nope, both NC and MA don't have Nexus access yet.

My idea of connecting the planes was along the lines of what P. Fricebottle has in mind. But I dont think that Fatzo completely understood me
. What I was meaning that WHEN you get into the planes, you could FIND your way to the other planes ( P. Fricebottle's idea) and eventually FIND your way to a bind point ( possible idea, unless this is just a ridiculous idea) and it would hold the portals to several other planes. Kinda of like a well of worlds right.

Please dont rate my artistic talents. I know it sucks
Realizing also that some planes need to be travelled to get to other planes as P. Fricebottle says as well. We should stick to the planar map of course.
There would be no connection from there to the material plane of course. So really you could be in the planar areas for a long period of time and get lost in the travels or get lost period. Um but I do see the point of the travelling TO the planes from the material plane making the planar travel more... special I guess. Um also the inn? Well it could be the Epic crafting area too? Also to buy or sell items that you have found mutiple copies of? Place to rest and relax and have an ale from a long trek?

Actually, in the final vision of the planes, they will actually be linked to one another. The problem currently is that all the planes aren't in yet - so the final vision of connectiveness isn't achieved. As a teaser, here's a rough map of what it looks like...
So the center truck are the Nexus areas, with two planes branching off of either side.
Each plane will connect to it's nexus and to the plane above it if on the left or to the plane below it if on the right.
So, to traverse from one plane to another, you'll need to spiral up the planar tree in a sense.
As you can see, the 'connective planes' on the left are the ones that are lacking the most atm...
Hope that helps.
