Dele,

I think Ancient Ones is the only faction that has RDD - just so you know. Its okay to explore, but don't forget your home is the last alliance!

It should be very interesting to see how the new gear etc affects the build's. For example I have heard time and again told to people "You wont need any con really cause you will never get hit in this armor" etc.

With the level restrictions I want to see how many of the old builds get "broken" with the new mod rules. After all you now Don't Know what those new NS4 Uber Items will give you.

But as for characters I am thinking about a Monk(maybe pure maybe not) and a thief type

With all the work and thought that seems to have gone into this mod it looks like there will be more character class diversity now which is a great thing!

from what i have heard...

it's going to come down more to the build than the gear.
and the sheer tactics of one faction faring against the other.
the side with better organization and leadership will have the upper hand

I see players already are trying to figure out how to multiclass their characters. I am going to be a Dwarf cleric.

You know some of you might not want to worry about what build you are and could try to just rp. **Waits for flighing objects to be thrown towards me**lol

nah i agree Devlin.

tho, why do you need to worry about multiclassing so much?
you dont need to be a jack of all trades.. you dont need to solo the mod now (u prolly cant)
you are part of a team, of which you have to work together to make a group that functions well together... not just a character that functions...

u might be abel to summon a huge dragon... and taht may help you, but does it really help your party out? (dont argue the point see the reasoning behind it)

I would Very much like to try out a monk/thief type of character and indeed that will most likely be what I start with....stats are going to take a bit of thinking about because I have a soft vision that I want for the character just have to make sure I can make it a reality.

Hmm did NS3 and the other previous NS versions also start out with a heavy RP emphasis? I think even if NS4 encourages teamplay there will still be a lot of powergaming - it just might be more team oriented. I for one left a strictly RP PW for NS 'cause while I like some RP, I also like to level!

Nope. Of course there will be powergamers, there are everywhere, but I think NS4 will be much better tested to avoid exploits and other nasty things that escalate the munchkin-ism

People will find ways to solo things. It's inevitable. NS4 will make it harder than it was in NS3, but I know that it'll happen. The mod isn't designed to be impossible for soloers but it's definitely geared towards team play.

I could never solo anything as my ranger/sorc/arcane archer in NS3.....that char was always best as a support char. so in NS4, which emphasizes team play, I think the char. will do quite well.
