Sorry to have to crush your hopes and dreams, Junksta (actually I'm not), but Mages ARE powerful.

*watches as Modreds spells bounce harmlessly off the force shield one of LSP's high mages have cast on him*
*raises his fang high above his head then brings it down on the unsuspecting wizards head slicing Lord Modreds skull in 2 like a ripe melon*
*wipes the blood and brain matter off his blade with Modreds robes*
*exits the door amidst the stares of the stunned onlookers*

So you say mages are weak but then you have to use one to defend yourself from another? Who's the delusional one here?

no no no not ALL mages are weak, for instance our mages have been put through some major training to become High Mages
they have skill in melee and spellcasting
our mages shields are unbreakable
Mordred and his crew of misfit mages stand no chance against our mages
they are like the special forces of mages, their training is vigorous and only the best survive, the others die
so yes mages like Modred are weak but our mages
well ye shall soon see

Hehe, good thing no one knows about the REALLY unbreakable magic shields we have over here in the Bugbear faction...our abjurationists are without peer--and our transmutationists are hard at work on an anything to pengiun transformation

bah... you'd never hit me... epic mage armor combined with displacement combined with expertise and a interposing hand over you... you'd never hit me.

I still have to disagree with you. My arm is doing fine. Thanks for the displacement spell there, Modred. :)
And you're going to argue that being able do 10d6 damage of 4 different elements to a LARGE area isn't faster than slicing through 20 mobs individually? I guarantee you won't find a way to soak all the damage. Horrid Wilting with a possible 25d8 of unresistable damage (but a save for half) to a decent sized area is definitely painful. Especially if it gets cast repeatedly.
You'll reject a haste spell or a mage armour or an improved invisibility because you're in denial about how mages are powerful? I didn't think so.
Oh yeah, where you gonna get a YDB in NS4? If it's in there it won't be as devastatingly stupid powerful. :)

certain spells like flesh to stone will prolly be nerfed in NS4 too, makes mages too powerful
wouldnt be surprised if they take away bigbys too, unfair advantage
and of course some dmg from spells would also be nerfed
lets face it without bigbys massive dmg from isaacs and flesh to stone mages are pretty much weak
epic mage armor? well they may not nerf that, but that dont make you invincible

I think we're dealing with actions being performed because of what happens because of the action... I bet noone's gonna win that sort of fight...
(Never happened last I tried this sorta game at least, but that was at kindergarten
)

There are three types of people in the world; those who can count, and those who can't.
again thats NS3 damage stats, in NS4 im sure that dmg will be reduced dramaticalyDrakhanValane wrote:
