i'd check into somewhere evil...neg plane or abyss? sounds more rational than faction guards. you faction only has lvl 13 or so armor on.

Pretty sure +4 gear doesn't drop there or I would. Even farmed shadow plane cleric things hoping for it there but it yielded +5 scale or something. And I wouldn't expect it to drop off a regular factional guard.. but maybe a named character? There's some nice loot that drops from some of the named ones. Guess I've never tinkered too much in water plane, might be worth a shot.

Yeah, that is my main focus atm. I really do suspect it's in one of the locked buildings in neversummer.. but I'll whap every high priest in every other faction before trying to reduce those monoliths to rubble to get at what's inside

the locked buildings in neversummer used to be buildings...but the areas were removed and buildings locked tight so we could have the extra space. it doesn't drop in NS

Ive looked in the editor and cant find who it is worn by. It is level 21 and I made it long before the planes were done so its not there. Being 21 it is not worn by any faction npcs either, they all max at 20. I thought maybe a demon or black dragon but notta.

If its not on the artifact drop then its not on anything Id assume. But if you have seen it then it did drop.

It could be Sunken or Frostdale or some non planar boss.

Definitely not sunken.. I've spent alot of time there checking out gear. And I've not seen it in person.. seen it on the wiki(which leads me to believe SOMEONE saw it) :p

Maybe I'll poke around in gnolls and mezzos. Thanks for the heads up about it not being on an NPC, that'll save some searching.

A good place to find lvl 20 relic drops are in the Nexus. I used to find them there, but that was before the 1.69 update and server wipe. I haven't seen many lvl 20 relic drops since then though. I've often wondered what change was made that limited their drops to seemingly never.

It does have drop settings, probably an oversight that it isn't set to be a random drop.

I think it's a remnant from the previous South Rd. Tower Depths. Just in case, I have a toon at the boss there right now, but he hasn't dropped anything special yet.

Oh.. is that the one with the demons? I've never even gotten him to drop loot.. so I gave up on him after a few tries. Maybe it's worth another look.

In the old NS3 it dropped from a guy in a temple in Enchanted Forest (gone now). Might be a particular demon, but would have no idea where.

Yes, I have a lvl40 there checking that miniboss. The maps were redone about 2 years ago to accomodate the addition of newer planar areas. The tower used to have a route to Fire Plane, but it was removed and the whole area was lightly revamped.
