now if there was a way to stop the potion chugging... the PMs drink more pots than fatzo in oktoberfest

I just battled two slighltly lower level toons who tried to PK me and I wasn't the one chugging heal potions. And what, pray tell, do other classes (like mages firing off IGMSes) do when another is wailing on them? Resign themselves to a quick death?

Heaven forbid if they hit you lots of times you actually die. how radical.
Mages (and druids) have godlike DR buffs and excellent, fast, ranged damage potential, if it's 1v1 and the other guy isn't healing then if he got up close to you and ripped down your DR and he's still got more than a pittance of HP left then it's perfectly reasonable for you to die. Besides if they're a melee type they'll be KD spamming you so it probably won't matter anyway.

If anything i would've thought a mage would support an anti-potchugging measure, as unless you can stun or paralyse or instant death them, someone with only a modicum of cash can easily chug pots until you run out of spells.

Edit: er. yeah like fatzo said but i somehow missed reading.
