No player list...

I realize this thread is 6 pages long, but has anyone thought about perhaps showing a players log in name? That way you could at least see if your friend(s) is logged in.

How is that different from the Friendlist before you even choose a server?

I hate not having the old players list. Now I can't pick and choose as to whom I want to torment.

I love not having the old players list. Now when I torment a player, they can't log to see who's on doing it to them.

My friends list has always been buggy, always knew it. Then when I added all my (and friends) (A) toons to it I knew it was horrible when I saw myself on in game, but other computer never listed it no matter how many relogs.

I like this too... the only change i've liked in the last several months really. In 'other' games I play, you can only see the list of people in your own faction, and you can only see their build (and gear sometimes) if you are in visual range of them.

but i'd like to see things taken even further than that, like enemy factions speak different languages so when they talk in-game, it comes out as nonsense, and you also shouldn't be able to party with enemy factions. This works well in other games to cut down on the QQ and bad language, and keeps the PvP pumpin'

Perhaps a LFG tool or some kind of party-level-check option could be added, I like the idea of a diary function to show the list of party members and their level, seems like a solution to the only legitimate complaint here.
