This question might have already been answered, but im lazy and dont want to hunt thru 10 pages of posts so....
What kind of a timeframe are we looking at before the majority of the kinks are worked out? like non-beta?
how long?

"Soon".
Honestly it's a complicated Algorithm that takes DevFreeTime and MeanTimeToFixBugs as arguments... Throw in some randomization for particularly easy and hard bugs and it spits out your answer! It always returns "soon" though...

Or put it this way, if everyone donated, say 20$ or more, that is like um ....
(20*3000 players {estimate} carry the 4..)
a lot of cash..
so then the dev(s) could quit their day jobs and be full time NS developers, instead of part time ones

Remember that the closed beta phase took nearly a year. Given what I know of the code changes being made and the epic areas still to be built, tested and installed - I would not be surprised if the beta phase takes us through the end of the year.
Remember - Lokey has said that EVERY SCRIPT that Bioware had standard has been modified or replaced. Every spell has had to be modified. Every summons. Every monster. Over 2400 treasure drop items - all of them custom. NPCs. And so forth. And doing this in their spare time - an hour or so here and there after work, a few hours on the weekends.
We're still running on the build that was uploaded at the beginning of June, when the Server 3 areas had to be put onto server 1. We're going to be in Beta for a while, folks.

I think we are talking about different things. When I said weeks, I was referring to how long the Devs could be "Full Time Devs" if they had the $$$ Uber_Hoser was talking about.Bob wrote:I think months is slightly more realistic...
NOT. How long it would take to do anything with the Mod.
