Crash Bug

Yes, I've removed all overrides etc...

Got a toon that crashed while attempting to cross from Old Town to Acadmey in Neversummer. Now it crashed at every log in.

So I moved another toon over there to check out the bug, and he be crashig now too (look! a lemming!)

I've also had a problem where for some reason my PC crashed every time I entered the game.

The only solution was to log into my wife's PC, move my char a few paces and then it worked again on my PC. This also happened to a friend of mine and I helped him out by logging in as him, moving him then logging out.

The only explanation I can think of for that was that my video card (or something else) couldn't render the first frame it keep trying to display me at.......

Infact that's happened to me twice in the last 2 years!

If you dont have a 2nd PC, maybe a DM could move your char from the special log in zone to another one where you can re-save? Assuming you are being hit by the same problem that I was.

Though it seems real weird that you got 2 chars both stuck!

I had this problem, I went into the configuration mode in the start menu and reset the graphics texture pack. That worked fine for me, haven't had the problem since.

turn down all the graphics to see if you can atleast get loaded.

I have the same problem at duergers currently, & it has happened b4. It takes a server reset & you toon is back.

Graphics setting does nothing as other toons elsewhere work great. However, if you take one onto the same map it getts stuck too.

Hmm, I missed the crashes everytime on login. That is diffrent than mine, so it might be you graphics setting.

I really missed it on this

. After the server reset my toon was still stuck at the duerger stronghold. Three times I got the same frozen toon & had to reboot my computer each time. I checked my video options & somehow shiny water was enabled. I wish I knew how it got turned back on. Problem solved.

Goto options and turn off shiny water in video options. Its a known bug with almostall video cards.
