thunderdome help for j00

Post by Kromix »

i was thinking that this design might help... i got no clue if it can be scripted but my guess is that yes :)

and have a warning that pops up that reads: "teleport now or die..." now if both sides dont teleport they both get killed and deleted :) and if one ports but the other doesnt its a forfeit by the non teleporting guy... and if they both teleport they both fight :D

the killing mechanism might be a 100ac 100 ab fighter that hits you with zing's weapon :D

exept you have to port or die, not using the auto port... have the yellow portals appear, so its your fault if u fail to port, not a dev error...

From what I recall, using an intra-map portal (such as Rock peak -> Mausoleum area), summons have never gone with you. Is there a way around this, or will you simply need to cast the summon once portaled?
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

once portaled... i think that that was zing's intention... because otherwise there would be gates that open and let you and your summon run amuck...

I noticed that Celalduil Ste'fess was slain in the Thunderdome...

Any story/gossip to go with this?

Chase put a challange out for 35th level characters and Clealduil Ste'fess was considering remaking his character anyway. I spoke with him afterwards.

Personally I wouldn't put any of my characters up against a DM toon unless I was planning on deleting him anyways. Just no reason to risk having to spend weeks rebuilding a character when a DM doesn't have any time invested in his.

Not necessarily true. Most non-test high level dm toons are earned in exatly the same way as yours.

Its an arena where two people fight each other. The loser's character is permanently deleted, and the winner gets all of the loser's gear and gets a prize from the DM Rewards area (I think).
