server outages

is there anyway that we can get an update as to the status of the servers? my pc is stuck in beta4 right now, so i can't play with that char. i just wanna explore, that's why i'm there. oh yeah, and test on the way. anyway, a running status on server downtime would be nice. thx.

We usually give timely updates about server status when one or more of them are down for a long period of time. If you don't see any official notices, it's likely that either a) the devs are not aware of the problem yet, or b) the problem is on your end. Server 4 has been up and running, however some players haven't been able to see it in Gamespy for some reason, and there have been problems with timing out. The server itself has been up and running fine, the best thing to do is keep trying.

Hmm.. I think there's more to this problem.. I'm direct connecting to server1, but have tried my 2 chars on server4 and both have failed portaling to 4 repeatedly the past 24hrs.. anyone else?

Yeah I was playing my mage on the MA server and 'heard' people shouting that server4 was down and they couldn't portal with the area transitions... maybe a firewall config problem or something? That was the problem when my games sometimes wouldn't show up in gamespy back when I was hosting Icewind Dale 2

I have had trouble off and on with Server 4 not showing or being able to portal there.
