Is it possible for a character to change faction ?
If it is, how ? I guided my character to become a Red Dragon Disciple, and I just learned that it is a unique prestige class.

Faction changing will not be implemented, as it will create an imbalance between characters that was balanced with the factions in the first place. Example is my char I originally thought about making a Pally/Cot/Sorc, but cannot due to NC's restrictions. No biggie, but if I were to be able to change factions, I could acquire my sorcs levels and have well over 70 AB. Doesn't seem fair now does it?

Actually it may be possible by the time the beta is over. Now getting classes from the new faction... maybe they should just have you only allowed to level in classes that are shared by both your old and new faction. :)

Apparently it is possible to loose one's faction. I don't know yet about getting a new one.
A few days ago, playing as a Ragnar's Kin char, I encountered a player from the Northern Coalition and he was not seen as hostile.
He told me that he attacted a NC guard by mistake and was kicked out of the NC faction. So, the main objective of "changing one's faction" being going to cities where you couldn't before, this might be a solution.
