so...i'm thinking about putting them in a max'd fire pattern around the realm where no matter where you go or what you do they will always fire at you.....do i have the players permission to do this or do i have to go back to the drawing board?

although if they have a LEVEL 3 SPELL they won't die.

there isn't a single level 1 - 40 that doesn't receive xp bonous from a kill.

if u don't like it leave. or build yer own server.

.....and to revert back on topic...i feel bad for the dm's/and devs who are trying to add new things and are getting critisized for trying to benifit the player base ! sheeeeeeesh , end the wah wah wah and allow our staff to work their magic....meanwhile we can sit here and ramble all night --- especially because i am still studying for my midterm tomorrow and i can really use a diversion once and a while

And Fatzo.. to test something new out would actually require participation in the thing being tested not spawning and logging... If they are looking for feedback then that is what we are giving them... nowhere did I say make it go away.. rather just be responsible..

As for the rest of this rant, I am not sure why the DMs have decided to turn this into a Flame War but go ahead and do as you wish with the Catapults. I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of the community reacts to them... so far it hasn't affected that many people but after seeing how devestating they can be I am sure you will get more responses if you keep using them randomly in game.

So until you get to play with them yourself perhaps you shouldn't comment unless you know what it is that we are dealing with. Perhaps the rest of the Peanut Gallery could keep the side comments out of this since they aren't helping in the actual discussion.

Wow that went fast

Like I said I like the idea of siege weapons and I can appreciate the casual joke. But for some weird reason I don't like dying and I try to avoid it if possible. I suppose that's the case with most people. I come here to have a good time adventuring and developing my characters. I appreciate your work and time you spend on NS4 and love the DM quests (if they don't crash the server

)
I do like my challenges but I prefer having a chance against my adversary (even just at running away). (And no, energy buffer or an other similar spell doesn't help a lot: 1 hellbal a round == 1 knockdown a round )

yeah sry for getting personel...i havn't personally met them..but i figure they are like every other thing...u get killed sometimes...u have to be commited to what ur doing..if u quit after dieing then this is not the server for newbies anyway..u will prbly be pked by the time ur lvl 3 depending on where u are and who's on anyway....but thnx mloki for trying to look after our newer player base...and u too poet...but newer players need to take their lumps and move on...i figure the catapults would be a good thing for primus to use...i like it..thnx devs...and for the dm's getting bored and killing people...i think that's hilarious....(as long as the person doesn't get any xp or gold loss that matters...lvl ones shouldn't worry bout dieing) but i agree with poet...if dm's are gonna release the catapults becasue they are bored..(if they were bored) they should stay to see the big destruction they unleash on the noobs and the populous in general

...in rp gods do this type of thing all the time...gods get bored..they throw some demon cows at people...helps time go by

Chase should derive a new quest from this : another find the chest quest, but once you enter the vacinity of the chest, it vanishes and , 3 catapults appear and pWn you !
