I havebeen playing on this server for a while and have had no problems until the last few days, when suddenly the lag problems have become extreme. It is not completely on my end, as I am playing on an 11 Mbps DSL connection and can play on another server w/o this problem. The lag is so bad that my toon will just stand there as will the monsters, until suddenly either the connection drops or everything happens in a staggered way and I have no control over my toon. I have had two different chars killed this way against monsters I would normally have been able to kill if I had been able to control my toon. Anyway, I was wondering if there was something different going on or if anyone else has had this problem. Also, is there a way to call this to the attention of a DM or something while it is going on so they can observe and maybe see what the cause of the problem is.

vidar, we all do have that problem too periodically. sometimes requires a bit of a change to game play. (not drastic. just going a bit slower). i know you probably already know this. it is frustrating. the devs do take this issue quite seriously and work hard to minimize it. if you get killed by lag (or otherwise) many people will come and help you. *best way to do this though would be to log on a different toon and send tells to friends instead of just using shout. - no tough guy wants to have to admit to helping the guy that just shouted, "pls rez, i'm dead in dark forest."

that said, i have noticed that there are no am resets lately and i find my self counting the minutes leading to 3pm cst when they will finally start again. i think this was an intentional change or a test. the lag on weekend mornings especially is bad. just my thoughts. i'd say put a couple of those am resets back in.

Keep your "LAG" experiences coming. Dev's are constantly working to eliminate as much of it as possible.

If your not alone on the line(we are 6 ppl using the same line, and most of em are online more than me ) setting up qos in the router for nwn might help... NWN ports in my router have max pri :p
