I've had it happen a couple times where my constitution has been raised by the Endurance spell, and finished a battle nearly dead. Then, when I go to rest, the Endurance spell gets cancelled first thing, dropping my hit points below the death threshold, and I die.
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but it's different from the standard Bioware behaviour. You sometimes just don't remember to heal up before resting.
Maybe Endurance could be like the summon spells that last while you rest, and cancel after rest is complete. ??

It happens in NS3 and I suspect it *is* standard bioware behaviour. Bioware code makes all spells you cast cancel upon starting to rest.

Altho this is a problem, i think its even worse when it happens to a DD. Defencive stance gives 4 con, but as soon as the battle stops it also cancels defencive stance so if you are on low HP and the battle stops, you will die with no time to heal
Further more when you heal it cancels defensive so you need to start heal before you gets too low since you loose hp when you start healing

According to "canon" D&D 3rd Edition:
Losing temporary hps can not kill you. If your hit points drop below the amount they were before the temporary hit points were gained, you don't lose any once the duration for the temp hp wears out.
Losing hps as a consequence of losing constitution CAN kill you. If a raging Barbarian comes of rage and, as a consequence of losing their con bonus, drop below 1 hp, they will either be unconscious, dying, or dead.
I never liked this rule myself, and it doesn't translate well into a computer rpg, in my opinion. But, this is something Bioware got right (as in translated from 3E correctly).
