Required expansion

Hi everyone, I have a question about the expansions required for neversummer

What expansions does NS4 require?

The bulk of Neversummer4, which includes the main contintent with the seven factions, the Frostdale island, Sunken Isle, and Isle of Dreams all require the Shadows of Undrentide expansion.

The planar areas, which include the Nexus and the attached Planes, require the Hordes of the Underdark expansion.

Does that mean I need both the shadows of undrentide AND hordes of the underdark to play or do I just need SoU to play and HotD if I want to access the planar areas? Thanks!

For most of neversummer you only need SoU, if you want to go to the epic areas then you will need HotU

Oh! Excellent, I used to play back when NS didnt use expansions and then I stopped for a while. But I came back recently and realized that they upgraded

I'm willing to buy SoU but I can't afford that AND HotU at the same time so this is good news

Depending on what they release it at, it may be cheaper to buy "Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition" rather than buying the two expansions at different times.

yeah I saw that platnium edition thing, but if I dont have to buy HotU to play on neversummer then I dont think I will? A month is a long time
