Avendell mercs mercs and Monks of the way same faction?!?!?!

and i think i figured out why
ive had a dm hit me with afaction reset wand a couple times now and everything is fine for a while
but the monks of the way (monastery in NC territory) seem to be the same faction because pissing them off gets me killed by avendell mercs later that day every time.
this would be the 3rd time the avendel mercs have jumped me and looking back i had been to the monks earlier that day every time

is this intentional?

When they were put in, it was noted that they were the same faction. Leave the monks alone, and you wont have any issue. :0

well i missed that note
that seems dumb the mercs are way bigger and cooler than the monks
