Ally's Relic
Linux,
Nice changes. This has been needed. Just two quick questions:
1. Please confirm this means it is now possible to capture a relic into an Ally's cradle yourself? Kind of unclarified and a significant change in itself.
2. Is Barbarian Roar hostile to non-party friendlies?? It seems that Skindread has been hostile to RK since creation and we think it is Barbarian Roar or something. He was hostile to AO for a long while as well but he managed to fix that.
Thanks again for another nice modification.

Re: Ally's Relic
I think it is posable to put an allied relic back in to the same allied cradle (IE a SL puting the MA relic into the MA cradle) but as far as i know you cant be for example SL putting say the AO relic into the MA cradle that just dosent work.
this was correct so unless linux changed that it should still be.

1. Yes, you can cap your ally's relic into your ally's cradle, but you can't cap any other relics besides theirs.1. Please confirm this means it is now possible to capture a relic into an Ally's cradle yourself? Kind of unclarified and a significant change in itself.

2. Ally's are not friendly to each other, but neutral (50). I'm not sure but its possible that the barbarian roar may affect neutrals as well as enemies.. would have to check the code.

Re: Ally's Relic
Here's the only problem I see with this, take Skindread's case of being kos to RK now because of the roar or rage or whatever. If he pulls RK's relic out of an enemy's cradle and caps it at RK he will get a little bit of faction back right? Well how do we know that Skindread will be the one to pull RK's relic out? I mean it's guaranteed that the first relic you get is your own (if it's in there) and the second will be that faction that you are raiding's relic (if it's in there), but after that it's random. So we want Skindread to get his faction back and he comes to raid with us and pulls out a relic but he gets MA, then what? drop it and pull out another and another until he gets RK's? Seems like it's too hard to ensure that that person will pull out that exact relic. Could it possibly be changed that you don't have to take it out of the cradle but you have to take it from the relic room? That way if someone else pulls it out they can drop it to him (in the relic room of the enemy) and he can pick it up and run it from there maybe. Or perhaps ensure that the third relic you pull out will always be your ally's (third as in yours first, enemy faction you are raiding next, then ally).

Re: Ally's Relic
Yes, It's definately harder to regain faction with your ally than it is to regain faction at home. But at least you have the ability to regain it now, regardless of how difficult. Capping relics to your home cradle shouldn't effect your ally faction standing, especially if you are capping their relic to your home cradle.
If anything, I would say that capping an ally's relic at your home cradle should reduce your faction standing with that ally. Imagine raiding for a month and bringing them all home for the whole time, then the next time you go to help you allies defend you find out they are aggro to you! Personally, I don't like that idea, but it makes sense from an RP standpoint. I agree that the biggest problem is that you have 5 opportunities to improve your own faction standing and only 1 opportunity to improve it with your ally. I like the idea that the third relic to come out of the cradle should always be your ally's.

Re: Ally's Relic
Better than nothing. As far as Ashsa is concerned im sure it wont be to hard to figure out with his triple logging on how to get an RK relic on the right toon...
-give them an inch , they'll want a mile
