Some more listen would help

with a bard you don't max out listen unless you take spell focuses (but this means forget feats like kd etc) many factions have the +4 listen in the jobs, can AO have it too? Switching rings just to lower your fort save, or switching shield just to lose the right dr ends you get stunned by some crap toons lol. Come on, 4 listen wont "unbalance" things at all.

Suck it up and switch rings. You can't have everything without a trade-off. Good players know what trade-offs are in their best interests and when. My NC bard has no trouble capping his listen without job bonuses.

Anyways, if you can't hear a hipser, you either didn't invest enough feat into listen, or they are silenced. Unlike hide, move silently is very hard to cap.
