PvP Between Select Factions

The relic wars may be over, but that doesn't mean we can't have good team PvP action.

I'm thinking there are some natural role-playing rivalries among the the factions:

Northern Coalition vs. Shadow Legion (Good vs. Evil)
Mystral Ascendancy vs. The Circle (Magic vs. Nature)
Ragnar's Kin vs. Shadow Legion (Dwarves vs. Drow)

We could set up some new games and challenges built around some of those rivalries, and set goals based on how many players were available for each side.

Supposing NC had 5 people on and SL had 3... The NC party could go on a crusade to wipe out the Shadow Legion, trying to kill all the NPCs and any defenders in their path. SL's goal would be to wipe the NC raiding party. NC's goal would be to clear each major map once including:
both main Menzo maps,
the relic cradle,
SL Hedquarters,
all three houses.

If MA had 7 and TC had 4... MA would have to clear the Den, Melencia, the Council Hall and kill both the Bear and Boar.

SL assassins could try to infiltrate NC and death attack a list of NC NPCs while NC spotter/imploders tried to kill the assassins before they accomplished their goal.

TC Druids and Rangers could use Animal Empathy to control a bunch of Bears and Silvastalkers from Forest Home, then unleash them on the streets Garagoth, as nature attempted to overcome magic.

After playing these out a few times we'd learn what really makes for fun, fair and competitive challenges.

Good sportsmanship and fair play would be key to making this work. Players should be willing to log toons on either side if needed for balance. New players with toons below level 40 should be encouraged to join in on the fun. The goal would be more to ensure a fun and challenging battle, rather than one side's superiority or dominance over the other.

Support from developers and DMs could help make it more successful, but we could do it even if they don't provide any support.

Im always in favor of RP and here Monkey is applying the integrated RP aspects of the server into the realtime action of PVP.
