I think you guys are misunderstanding what Zing means. The issue wasn’t logging in higher lvl chars to defend it was that they shouldn’t be 20 feet from the cradle. You can come in and defend your city but instead of appearing on top of someone it you may have to run a little. Not a major change just a justified tweak if you think about it.

JUst to be clear on this ...... are we allowed ot relog to defend the city as long as a high level isnt sanding right beside the relic....
Mabey an amended rule like you are only allowed to relog a char as long as he is not in the relic spawn point.....
This would make it so you have to relog then buff then change areas....
Some exact clarafaction would help people dont get too confused....
It also takes peoples reason of "Not Knowing" the rules no excuse for breking them

If you log in and are "too close" you will know it because the gods will teleport you away and curse youKST_HAVOK wrote:JUst to be clear on this ...... are we allowed ot relog to defend the city as long as a high level isnt sanding right beside the relic....

As far as I know Zings code is in place, just for fun test it out. if you log near the relic you are insta-killed...
Ok I rarely make jokes and they are usually not funny, seriously it will automatically put you away from the cradle is all. With that being said you can log right on top of the cradle but when you return to defend you will be moved away (not a lot but the exact I don't know).
And yes with the relic system you can relog a higher char to defend, other rules stay in place log for revenge, etc.
Also keep in mind it has only been in place for four days, so if anyone does something and a DM tells you its wrong, have some understanding say OK I won't do it again and that will be the end of it.
Give official stickys some time and work the the staff, have a little patience, and if you find an exploit tell us don't use it.

You all have the basic fist of it.
Play as normal is all I would say. If you log too close to a cradle to be considered fair challenge you get ported (and have your legs broken for 60 seconds
).
Remember this ONLY applies while your cradle is under threat (after a "Raiding" server message goes out). You can log right next to it any other time you like.

2 if i was not on but log in at a time when my cradel is under attack and happen to be in the no no zone will i get a penalty/ ported leggs broken ect?

logging in any char next to the relic while it is being accosted affords the penalties of the relic...just don't log out right next to them and u'll be fine.
on a side note, MA will never have all the relics becuase it takes an hour or more to collect them and......are you ready for this......walk them there. a party of us had to walk 4 of them from sleeth to garagoth only to have the server crash as we were 1 zone from the town. since it was a crash and the relics were not in a cradle they go back to their original towns and we did everyone in the world a big favor and wasted about 30 mins of our time walking. i don't want to complain or anything, but are you serious? give me 2 mins and i could have every person on the server outside of Garagoth before the person from there stealing the relic even got close to town. there has to be a better way, especially as MA's credo is to travel the roads as little as possible.

maybe there should be some safehose cradles halfway through a long distance run... and have them be neutral cradles (no bonus xp) and have a server shout like shimy placed RK's relic in monastery cradle or something like that, telling people where they are too... but thus saving the location of the relic...
