Was just thinking.
Maybe turn the cleanup script back up to full so that it wipes items from the ground of non-inhabited areas, but let it skip coffers?
Or is it at full arleady?

Remember I said in that post about not actively doing anything that would help meta gamers (Mules, same player gear transfers, ect).
We understand that it is going to happen, and that a policy of no meta gaming is much like a contract that requires most players to breathe only in even numbered minutes. So while we wont make a policy about it, we will and have shot down with amazing regularity anything and everything that resembles support for it.
It is and has been the position of the DM and Dev team since before NS4 was opened to the public that each character should be run up as if you were a new player. While we wont set that in stone, that is the stone you will have to overturn to get any support from the team for anything that smacks of meta gaming.

its when you have millions of gold and lots of neato gear saved up for a char you just made so that you don't have to go through the rigors of making it from scratch. of course....ILR isn't really feasible to live with in any realm, real or fantasy, so there will always be meta gaming when that is concerned.

OTOH, I don't really mind that muling is allowed. I've seen plenty of servers that ban muling, but there's always the circumstance of a player who's friends with established players joining for the first time, and his buddies give him a huge pile of great gear and gold. To me, muling isn't all that different. In my example, the guy who's getting all the free gear from his buddies isn't IMO really fair to the other players who have to work for it.
There are hardly any placeables in that area. It's most likely lag caused by high spell effects + all the ice giants getting blocked up in tight spaces and the pathfinding routines working overtime to try and figure out another route to you.

None of us is as dumb as all of us.
Give the Ice Giants shurikens to throw while waiting in line to kill you!
Them throwing stuff at you would cause less lag than pathfinding attempts... wouldn't it?
Call them Giant Snowflakes! Level 16 shurikens. All ice giants would have them except for the archers. Give them a nice drop rate too. Maybe bump their massive crit's to make up for low base dmg.

Also when the server is at 20+ the start building in Melencia is idiotic, you have a load of noob NPC druids buffing up which makes it impossible to talk to any of them
Speaking of starting locations... AO still has a problem with the Job NPC Surlya casting Invisibility on herself. Not so bad when you know she is there but I've had to take more then a couple new players in there to point her out. You can't just tell them to go talk to Surlya when she isn't visible at all.
how bout mosters casting dumb spells on theirselves to which they are already immune? immune to paralys and casting freedom? monster true seeing on summons casting nerfed NS true seeing on themselves.
