Doesn't really matter to me, I'm not a huge fan of subraces, particularly the several million elf subraces that have appeared over the years. The thing with half-orc though, is that really there's little that can be done with a half-orc except the dumb barbarian.

Yeah, especially with that -2 Int -2 Cha penalty.lord_modred wrote:half orc casters are fun

Not that it isn't doable, but it isn't an optimal choice.

Yeah, perhaps an evil subrace of half-orcs. These guys are Favored Class: Cleric, and are wiser than their lesser counterparts (+2 wis bonus). These are the ones that use their dumber folk as puppets, like Lord Grezor. Another bonus could be a +4/+2 constitution (casters in general would like that) but a -2 charisma, -2 int, and ECL +2/+1. Whichever fits.

Well there are a couple I can think of that might be interesting.
Minotaur
Dryad
Formian
Kobold
Werecat/Werewolf?
Pixie/brownie, but not sure if the gear would work.
Mind flayer
Baurius(spelling) - mini centaurs
Merfolk - we already have a city. Aquatic elf?
Drider as an epic for drow that reach it.
Perhaps implement pets for all these caster types with an empty ability.
FairDragon would be a cool pet, I think there is a script out there that has that on the Vault.

Brownies and those Centuar things were originally ment to be player subrace options. I played around with them one time they can wear helmets and armor and it looks nice. Not junk like tring to wear armor on a troll form (stays naked) . I forget the centaur things name right now, but those were pretty cool cause they could dual weild Great swords, being large sized. The brownies were so small, funny little things. I don't remember if those were in a patch though or if they were part of CEP. Good ideas though.
edit: ya those were CEP NPC's you could use. Wemic and Brownies. They look great but I don't think NS4 will ever add CEP due to the huge size and the conflicts it would cause. Plus it's a huge hak pak download.
