Shame these [censored] Swords didn't say goto +5 or +6 and have double the additional damages when wielded together!

They can with Greater Magic Weapon (+5 at least)

Though the +2 enhancement would be wiped out by the -2 penalty for using a medium in your offhand.

honestly, when will peeps learn that dual wielding weapons that are too big for you is baad. though i won't complain about the laugh i get every time i see a dual rapier WM.

Rapiers are dooable cause of the threat range ...... its when you try 2 warhammers or axes is when it gets redundant

meh, the big crit range is *more* likely to be wasted, especially as a WM - having a 10-20 crit range is entirely pointless when you only hit on a 15.
I suppose it's good if you really want to be a noob threshing machine.

Personally, I'd like to have a dragon just pick up two smaller opponents and dual-wield them for a while - but that's just me.

Anyhoo, judging by the pairing of the swords in-game, it would be nice if dual-wielding them gave some additional bonuses.

As to dual-wielding non-light weapons, IIRC having a non-light weapon in your offhand gives you -4 AB to all your attacks. It's not the worst thing in the world (slightly better than the penalty using expertise when your AC buffs have worn off). Noob or otherwise, I think a lot of people find it cool to dual-wield stuff like katanas, scimitars, and what not.

well dual wielding medium weapons isnt the greatest thing, but it does let you front load more attacks (rather than one full, one at -5). so if your ab can hit anway on your third iterative attack bonus you end up slightly ahead with 4 attacks coming in over that mark. for xp grinding in a well buffed party its very very effective. throw in some sneak attack and it's even more so.

and yes, some people play the game for fun and coolness, and not just for spreadsheet based powergamed minmaxing. dual anything is inherently twice as cool ;)

(that being said it's quite true that many people don't undertand the concept of wasted crit range on stuff you can barely hit)

Yup... hence Matrix's dire mace... I gotta give him credit for that... no one else uses them.

How about if 2 people in the same party were using each using a blade - could be some kind of party benefit.

considering one is War and one is Peace, shouldn't there be penalties for using both? as in whatever bonus you get for one is canceled due to the other, and vice versa?
