Bah, whatever... The drop rate might be the same. But I have another impression from pre-wipe. Not saying anything got changed there. Maybe the drop rate in general got lowered? At least increase it a little bit. Im not asking to hand out gifts. Though the kill drop ratio isn't right atm. IMO.

I know some of you have hit the slot machines before. Sometimes you'll get nothing at all and other times you'll hit a winning streak. It's RANDOM!!! Just because you aren't getting the drops doesn't mean nobody else is. Most "professional" slot machine players will watch a bank of machines for hours and swoop in after somebody leaves because they aren't winning. You just have to be patient and play the odds. Most of the hard core players had enough of each drop to equip the rest of the server before the wipe, so you just have to play the odds.

It also seems to follow in the theme of group play... meaning that you should have better drops due to the larger amount of gross kills u get as a group vs those soloing. Getting the best gear in the game shouldn't be that easy for a single player. It shouldn't be easy for a party either, but they should end up hauling off more stuff given the same amount of time spent in an area, because they should have killed a lot more mobs.

I played more than most pre wipe, and I had 1 -ONE- set of boots and 1 -ONE- belt, and thats about the posi gear I had I think.....

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

I played on average with most people, maybe a little more. I didnt even go to posi a whole bunch, but I had 1 glimmerblade, 1 glimmerskin, 1 Xeg(Xag w/e is in posi) cloak, the Xeg ring, and passed up multiple items to others just for th fact they could use them while I had no use. It was pretty hit or miss in posi though I think, either you went through and cleared to boss and got 1 drop, or you ran in and cleared 2 screens and had 10 drops.

I can't remember ever being disappointed by a posi run that killed the WL... always something for everyone.

You guys were doing something wrong then lol, my toons were coated in posi/neg gear. Just got get in with the right people i suppose.

However i noticed pre-wipe the drop rate on tomes was turned up do to one devs idea of a sick joke. Seems you may have turned it back down alittle to much me thinks. Been trying to get a +2 book of intel for about a month and a half now. ........The longest i have had a level 10 toon in the entire time i have played lol.

I never had a problem with posi gear - I probably played posi 8-10 times with good groups and had 8-10 posi items (prewipe); I also had a couple toons that could farm glimmers, lumis and the sling guys (why bother with the Xags and the dadgum aoa's? most annoying creatures on the server - who's to blame for those :P ?). Posi seemed ok, if it's like that now, no problem for me. Neg was much worse for gear, I thought, but I also went there much less. I had 1 deathblade that I got as a prize - never ever saw one drop or one that someone said they got from a drop; I had more DWP stuff than neg stuff. Haven't been since the wipe.

I have crap gear for the most part on my 3 L20+ toons post-wipe with maybe 10 L25+ items between them (maybe 2 L30 items - I know I got a beholder skin belt lol, but ZERO IA robes, shields, and my L35 monk is still using storm kamas) (and one of them's an MA crafter :P, so the other L30 item is an crafted ammy), and I was a little disconcerted at first. Doesn't seem so bad, now, they're still fun to play PvM or PvP. Tell you what, I'm gonna do a happy dance when I get my first L30 robes.

Seemed like a lot of books dropped over a couple days not long after the wipe - haven't noticed now.

It's not a matter of how much you play but more how often you are actively farming that dictates the real hard core players. If you have even a couple lvl 40 toons and spend most of your time in the areas that give you the good drops (ie not dwarf home) then you will find yourself with more epic gear then you know what to do with. That was kinda why we started DCN back in the day.

It's a fine line. The expectation is that you'd get at least one really nice item at some point...and as far as I can tell that seems to happen even with random pick-up parties clearing just a few areas of something level appropriate.

Really high end...wait a few months for us casual playing DMs and Devs to actually get there...
