AO is full of slavery and powerhungry mages.Mystral Ascendancy... or even AO and SL. MA is *the* arcane faction...
SL is for evil doers only.
MA is a haven for chaos, trickery and necromancy. (I do not understand why it is related to the "Mystral" part of the weave. When Mystra as a deity seems to be a LA deity and the shadow weave is the strongest part of MA.)
So none of those fit for a good aligned mage (with the exception of sorcerors and bards who worship Bahamut in AO)
What about the neutralists/knowledge seekers (mages who seek balance just like the druids of the circle) or the high-elves who work against the necromancy in those 3 mage factions we have atm?
You're right about the halflings, my bad.
I fully understand the cheapness of the old LA, allowing all races and classes in a mix sounds insane.
I think it would fit alot better as a separated faction for mages who seek knowledge without working with necromancy, trickery or chaos magic.
Also, allowing rangers and lawful/good aligned rogues into it aswell would open up new opportunities for wiz ranger builds and such (think within the terms of a harper mage). This would balance the wizard/ranger deal abit more, as all factions who allow mages have access to rangers aswell except MA it seems. (cant really see the reason why they are not allowed in MA, but there must be one).
Here is an excellent and short bio of a harper. Hope it will give as much inspiration to you as it did to me, cheers!
PS. You and your team do an excellent job, keep it up
