put in the most simple of terms: i dont think that the devs meant for it to be easy to get from one faction city to another, faction raiding shouldn't be just walking next door to cut a few people down.

Well the way you say it makes it sound really fun to just walk next door and cut people down. In fact, when my neighbor leaves for work tomorrow morning I'm going to insult him all the way down the stairslord_modred wrote:put in the most simple of terms: i dont think that the devs meant for it to be easy to get from one faction city to another, faction raiding shouldn't be just walking next door to cut a few people down.
Oh and seriously now, stop laughing I'm trying to be serious... oh forget it.

Yeah, unless your faction just happens to be LA, in which case you get hit constantly given the ease of binding in Avendell.lord_modred wrote:put in the most simple of terms: i dont think that the devs meant for it to be easy to get from one faction city to another, faction raiding shouldn't be just walking next door to cut a few people down.
That was the case at any rate before the ferries and dragons went in place, and IMO that sort of went against what seems to have been the philosophy that LA was the newbie faction.

You can do that too, but it might start getting expensive if you keep getting beaten back.
Besides, that's why I said it was the case before ferries went in — with ferries, Sleeth can be hit just as fast as NS City, and Garagoth and Daeron aren't too far from ferries either, where before they were both at the far end of nowhere on the map. Originally, NS City was the closest city to Avendell and got hit the most, with Menzo being pretty popular as well with its better equipement. Nobody bothered with Garagoth because it took too damn long to get to, and when the server transitions were broken, the other 4 cities weren't messed with as much, and often ended up broken.

this doesnt cover the factor of running back to your own faction though, you cannot simply run to avendale to drop off your artifacts

Hmm? Again, I was largely talking about people who run down to LA simply for pking purposes, although this is not as bad now as it was in the past..lord_modred wrote: this doesnt cover the factor of running back to your own faction though, you cannot simply run to avendale to drop off your artifacts
Yeah, unless your faction just happens to be LA, in which case you get hit constantly given the ease of binding in Avendell.
This is just one of the pros and cons of the Last Alliance. Heck, I remember another thread talking exactly about this and how it was too much of an ADVANTAGE for LA. Making it incredibly easy for lowbies to make it to the mountain, good gear, etc. all found in Avendell. It all balances out, MA may be a pain to take relics to but if they EVER get all of the relics then they would be like a fortress. Closest bind point is Sunken as far as I know, because Grey Shores is MA bindable only. Then again, thats ferry travel so its a bit exspensive (excluding Jester).
