It was not my intention to offend anyone with my comment of 'yawn' I have absolutely no problem with offering anyone upset by such a vitriolic dismissal my most sincere and abject apologies for any trauma caused.
That said my stance on the matter still stands thus and I reserve the right to include my opinion on these boards regardless of the fact that some people don't like opinions which do not reflect their own.
Further more this subject has been discussed at least 10 times before and the only true reason I can see for the requests for auto-returns is sheer laziness.
However as the relic system does not offer any bonuses for having just your own relic then I also see little point in the relics defaulting to somewhere other than "home".
They BELONG to the factions, they are not simply a treasure to seek. They are the pride of each race, a gift from the gods no less and there to be protected and/or pillaged by those who seek power!
Is it not this that makes them different?

sometimes instead of just suggesting new and interesting things to you it should be considered what the original purpose of that thing is.
relics were meant to be a symbol of pride for the factions and create unity among them...something that was severely lost when we lost the cluster and the separation of factions.
