Faction parties request

I recently played on a PW Story server called Orb of Abrogation and while I can't recommend it, they did have an interesting feature there.

When a player belonging to a faction joined the game, they would receive a scripted automatic invite from their factions party. I think such a system in NS4 would conveniently allow for new players to get to know the major powers in their faction. As it stands, most of them are too shy to invite others, and when they finally do, they have already passed the time where they make a decision to stay here or go elsewhere. I think it would help make new players more welcome, and help the factions with small numbers retain potential members.

Of course, you can leave the faction party and make your own any time you like. I think that this feature, if added, would help unify members of the same party and help them break the ice. Obviously if you are an exile of your faction you wouldn't receive an invite.

In theory it’s not a bad idea but would never work here. A lot of reasons but I will give 2.

1. Lag, big parties can kill the server so this could end up making 1 huge group or multiple large ones.
2. I say it would take about 20 minutes before some people start logging in with enemy factions just to see where everyone is then relogging to go kill them or something, it could be made a rule but nearly impossible to reinforce and I doubt any DMs want another rule that can barely be enforced.

Besides, why not just send them a tell, if you see a new player logging in belonging to your or your allied faction? This way they feel at home too? And there is no need for a script?
