Xp sharing among allied factions
Well, to be honest i never put any thought into it, because i always played LA and didnt have to worry / care about dividing up relics.
Now that things have changed, im wondering if its feasiable (or even considered a fair / even idea) for bonus XP to apply to both factions, no matter who has the relics. So for example if your faction has 3 of them, and your allied faction has 3, both of them are getting the full 35% bonus (or 30, whatever the new number is)
Has this been brought up before?

This topic has been discussed at length with the following result.
Relic Bonus will only go to those who have fought for, captured and capped the relics.

Do you still loose a faction for raiding an allied faction? If you do then this needs to be looked at again as it makes no sense.
You either share the bonus or shouldnt fear loosing faction one or the other in my mind.
Obviously letting your allie have the bonus and you have nothing is not an option.

The relics are considered a most precious item that is to be protected at all costs. Therefore they whom hold the relics are the only ones blessed by them.
Your faction ally is just that an ally. They are not your relatives living in a different area. They can at any time can turn against you, as you can turn against them, which we have all seen in the past.
I ask:
Would it be fair that if you became enemies of your allied faction that you should get bonus from their holding of the relics (visa versa)? Is it fair to a faction that runs raids and has great defense share what they have fought so hard to earn, with a faction that may do absolutely nothing to contribute, a lazy faction who will benefit from your hard work continuously? I think not.
As far as faction friendly loss:
If you raid your allied faction's relic cradle, of course you would lose that privilege fo being friendly to all the guards and citizens their. Why wouldn't you? You have chosen to break allied lines with your allied faction by attacking/killing their guards and stealing what they hold most precious, their relics... You bet you go hostile to them as it should be.

Yeah i know the reasoning, but i wouldnt mind sharing a relic bonus that I earned with my allies.

Well, the way i see it, this really dosnt encourage "allied play" when it comes to relics then.
You wait until somebody from an unfriendly faction attacks your ally, takes a relic, you then attack them and take it from them. You put it into your own cradle. The allied players cant take it back from your cradle.
So not only are you refusing to help defend your ally, you are using their loss as your gain.
Kind of defeats the whole spirit of having an ally in the first place, dosnt it?

For a while I thought we were getting a 10% bonus when TC had all the relics...am I really that crazy?

Hey, works for me. Opens the door to evil attacking evil whenever it suits their purpose, just as they should. Can't say as I really cared for what faction friendly status I had with SL when I was playing MA, if we wanted our relic back, we went and took it, it belonged to us, not them. Faction alliance for evil is about using the other to your own advantage...

Well it also opens the door for making a character in a different faction to raid your alley with and then drop the relic and cap it with a diffent toon. I dont care for that toon mch personaly so i just plan on raiding with my allied toons.

your faction refuses to share relics with its allies...regardless of who your faction is.
you go hostile when raiding your faction for relics...the same as killing the guards of those towns
you can gain faction rep back by returning relics to your city...OR YOUR ALLIES CITY, to gain rep there.

I tried to return RK's relic to RK's cradle and it didn't work. It just said "I detect the power of a relic". That's when I found out they turned this off. Which I'm ok with. Unfortunately, the server was reset right after that and the relic went to RK anyway, had I known all this I would have just capped it in AO.
So there is no way to regain faction in your allied faction.
Perhaps you could still have the ability to cap a relic (just their home relic or any relic) back to your faction allies cradle just to gain faction and not to share the xp.

I recall getting a friendly bonus when SL didnt have relics, which only left MA...
