Should not be able to bind at enemy bindpoints?

Post by TastyTreat »

My main reason for bringing this up is as follows: If you have invaders in your faction who decide to bind themselves to a bindpoint within your main faction city, it becomes very difficult to get rid of them since no matter how many times you kill them they are still there. Of course you can pk the invaders until they are blue in the face, and decide to log off or leave, but that should not have to be nessesary. I propose that players should not be able to bind at certain bindpoints, specifically ones that are within the heart of the factions they are invading (the faction's main town/city).

Agreed. You shouldn't and should never be able to bind in the enemy capitol. Just causes too many problems.

heh i would think it'd be tough for a player to respawn in the capitol....
unless they're a fighter or something

nomagic rift shards screw casters :)
ofcourse, they screw the spellcasting npcs that happen to be in the same spot for some reason rather that fighter npcs...

That's another issue that needs fixing. I've heard the NPC Clerics in the NS temple keep trying to cast but even their cure minor wounds won't get off...

The Devs are debating that issue, and it looks like they are going to disallow binding in a hostile faction's bind point.

Just wanted to throw in two cents.. This is a great idea as long as it only counts for the main HQ of a faction. Some factions like NC have small outposts that u can bind at.. if u disallowed hostile faction PCs to bind there they would have no where clsoe to bind, where as places like Garagoth have the bind point in the wastes which is close and neutral they can bind at.

yea, what about inns that are supposedly neutral outside the city?
i think opposing factions should bind there.

i mean, look at avendell. if you weren't LA, you won't be able to bind there. would be a major problem traversing the ns4 world if you were only able to respawn at your faction's bindpoint.

main cities disallowed, sure. but outside shouldn't be.

And even better, perhaps the # of ppl bound at these outposts could determine who controlled what. So we'd have shifting lines, like in actual wars.

Neutral bindpoints are white - anyone will be able to bind to these. The color coding of bindpoints was part of the design for this reason.

Is the camp on the western slope(near menzo) neutral, its white but still not able to bind there. Or is the nuetral bind points still being implented?

How about binding on ally's rift shards? That would increase the bindable points quite significantly and make traveleing much easier.

I agree with parent. There is no reason why you should not be alowed to bind to an alied rift shard.

BTW, Who own the rift shatd in the high lands? It's yellow, which might sugest that it is a coalition rift, but I can not bind to it....
