I noticed that Sorcerors can get a cloak that gives them extra spells slots yet Wizards only receive their bonus slots when wearing a helm.

Given that there are some very cool helms going around with bonuses to intelligence, saves vs death etc. It means more often than not playing a wizard means you cannot take advantage of this as you choose one or the other.

Is there such an item as a cloak/amulet that gives wizards bonus spell slots (like sorceror) that you can buy from a store. I haven't seen any though haven't travelled to widely.

It is balanced if you think about it. The only way to get a Charisma bonus is from wearing a Cloak. So Sorcs have the same choice to make that Wiz's do. The same goes for Clerics, Druids, Rangers, and Paladins with the amulets.

There are 2 Robes that I know of that add spell slots, and 1 helm that I know that adds both Spell slots and INT. If you want to know where, PM me.

I think the point that he's trying to get at is this: Wizards, by using a helm rather than a cloak, sacrifice more beneficial gear that a sorceror does.

yep, cloaks suck tremendously. They are no use unless you are bard or sorc or need CHA.
